The MELT Fat Loss Training System
The MELT Fat Loss Training System is based on the principle that you must increase your metabolism to lose weight.
It works by sending your metabolism into overdrive so that you stimulate your body to burn body fat 24 hours a day. This, as you are about to discover, is the key to getting and staying lean.
Your body wants to use fat as it's main source of energy. However, because of poor diet, lifestyle factors and inactivity your metabolism has screeched to a halt and you are probably storing more body fat day by day.

How does the MELT system work?
MELT takes advantage of a unique metabolic process inside your body known as EPOC (Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption). Oxygen Consumption is when your body uses oxygen to convert it into a fuel. When your body uses oxygen as a fuel it must burn body fat to do so.
This is where a lot of the misconceptions of 'losing weight' or 'burning body fat' came from. You see when the idea of using fat for fuel was first discovered researchers only looked at what happens during exercise.
They realised that you will only burn fat as a fuel when you use oxygen and this only happens when you exercise at a low steady pace. If your heart rate goes too high then you start converting carbohydrates into fuel instead of oxygen & body fat.
So the idea of the body fat burning zone was born. BAD NEWS for us!
BUT...
What we have later discovered is that after an intense form of exercise, where you burn carbohydrates for fuel, your body then starts using EPOC. So that means that it's only after your workouts that you start using more body fat for fuel than during.
The easiest way I have heard this explained came from the greatest fat loss expert in the world. Alwyn Cosgrove.
He asked:
"Would you like 50% of £100 or 30% of £1000?
The £100 is the low steady state aerobic exercise (such as jogging) and the £1000 comes from more intense forms of exercise like MELT Fat Loss Training.
To sum it up MELT is about manipulating your metabolism so that you burn body fat as a primary fuel source 24/7. Not as a fuel source for just a 60 minute workout.
Most people are exercising at around 60% of their VO2 max (intensity) creating very little stimulus to EPOC. However when you increase your intensity by just 30% to 80-90% of VO2 max you get well over a 500% increase in EPOC.
Now that's what I call a good return for your money!
What do the MELT Workouts involve?
The workouts are designed using the 3 M’s.
Mobility, Muscle and Metabolism.
Having optimal Mobility is essential for creating the body you want as the more you can move the more Muscle you will use and therefore the more of an effect you will have on your Metabolism.
Not many people know that your Muscle mass makes up the majority of your Metabolism. So the more Muscle to body fat ratio you have the more calories you will burn on a daily basis.
Long duration steady state exercise actually decreases your Muscle mass and in turn then your Metabolism slows down. MELT does the opposite.
Your MELT Workouts will develop your Muscle mass using exercises that use the most Muscle. The exercises will also be designed in a specific order to create massive boosts in your EPOC to stimulate your Metabolism thus giving you the best chances of dropping body fat fast.
Expect these workouts to be tough. But expect to dramatically increase your mobility, get super fit and strong and create the body you desire in no time at all.
Who can use MELT?
One of the most unique things about MELT is that anybody can do it. The workouts can be manipulated so that you can shed massive amounts of fat or build massive amounts of muscle.

How long do the workouts take?
Again depending on your lifestyle the workouts can be manipulated to suit you. The workouts can vary from 15mins to 40mins but they are all based around the 3 M’s.
Can I do the workouts if I have an Injury?
It really depends on the type of injury however MELT Training takes into account that some people will have muscle and postural imbalances. By undergoing our thorough Neuro-Muscular Assessment prior to your training program we will be able to identify and treat the cause of your injury and give you the best chance of staying injury free in the future.
The exercises used are the best exercises for strengthening your body and so they can even get rid of nagging aches and pains that you might experience from time to time.
